I had submitted some GPUPI 2.0 results back then which were given HW points. Specs had to be keyed in manually. Now I've submitted version 2.1 64-bit results which are obviously better, using the same hardware. However the Phenom II X3 720 BE was identified as vanilla 720 which cannot be edited during submission. So I corrected the CPU spec post-submission. Problem is, the newer results are in the correct hardware category (720 -> 720 BE) through editing but the older results are not stripped of their points. Thus I've been ranked and given points for BOTH 1st and 3rd places, even after calling rank recalculation in the result page. This happened for both GPUPI…

I'm not really a 3D guy so I might not understand the "full picture" but as an observer, I can't really see why WR points are necessary in Legacy 3D benchmarks, such as 01, 05, 06 and AM3. My arguments are: 1) These benchmarks are more or less CPU benchmarks now so giving WR points skews the whole user ranking (by up to 400 points) towards having one good CPU. 2) As far as I remember, the purpose of WR points was to reward "absolute max scores" in categories which weren't popular enough to deserve high globals (like 4-way SLI/CF of multisocket servers). This is clearly not the case (anymore) with the Legacies since all top scores are achieved on single-card setups a…

I recently started a team for r/overclocking on reddit and I've had almost everyone ask me about how to join the team because the team page doesn't have a join button and the drop down menu hidden in the My Account page is really hard to find for most people.

Hello. I was looking into my submissions and i noticed that i have submissions under "Mobile HD Graphics (Sandy Bridge) for both the Mobile HD Graphics GT1 and GT2+ of the same generation. The problem is that they are completely different GPUs. The GT1 is embedded in lower end CPUs like the Celeron 887 and has only 1 ROP and DX10.1 support, whereas the GT2+ has 2 ROPs and DX11. I think there's a different GPU in mobile Sandy Bridge Celeron, Pentium, i3,i5,i7. Maybe i5 and i7 have the full HD3000. Intel's named them GT1,GT2,GT2+ etc. Could someone categorize those? Look for example the difference between those two.

This is no benchers fault, so I don't want to discuss this is connection with a specific result. Why are WR points being awarded to a 3.5 second benchmark? How is that going to help increase/improve the perception and respect for overclocking?

Some years back we had monthly competitions on hwbot often featuring some old but gold hardware. Often goal was to achieve fastest result in benchmark x featuring using socket z. There was often lot of research necessary for finding best CPU / Mobo combination and of course find those items on the market... To be honest, Im missing those competitions... I know Team and Country Cup often has some stages for old hardware but why should we do this fun just 2 times in a year? So my idea would be to establish an ongoing competition using all results that are already in the bot. I really, really would like to see some of those benchers who showed incredible skills …

Some small things I'd like to see implemented if possible. this one I messaged to massman on fb, probably should have just put here. can we get dry ice added to this average here for both CPU and VGA? --------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- second, an annoyance when I'm looking at my wall. see here, I'm following dino, newlife, gazza. thats cool and all, but say i'm bored of dino. here you can see, there's no option to unfollow dino anymore. --------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- ----------------------------------…

Hi guys, seems like the result submission via hwbot.org/submit/create is not working. I tried to submit two scores, SuperPi 1M and GPUPI for CPU 1B, and both are giving me blank pages, but returns HTTP Code 200. Is it down for everyone or just me?

Hi everyone Im new here.. Why does when Im running XTU and doing benchmark the idle clock of my cpu goes around 2.5GHz but If Im using throttle stop while gaming the clock will mostly around 2.6-2.7+-GHz.. Does XTU limit the CPU usage rather than Throttle Stop ?

for elite league.... Top 15 Global (681.1) Top 20 HW (672.8) WR points (115) Competition points (437) Correct? I should have 1905.9 if this is right... I currently have 1869. Ive added others scores as well some are wrong some are right. Any ideas? I have forced recalculation 3 times. How does the algorithm add wrong?

Why is it possible to submit a submission such as 4X Core i7 4790K? It seems like this could easily be removed for any platform that doesn't support multiple CPUs. The number of submissions that I've reported that look like this is staggering...

There are many many interesting HW platforms (mostly old pre-IMC), but only few of them are actually viable for using in the current system. For example SDRAM - only Asus CUSL2/TUSL2 (i815EP) is competitive, no point in using other boards or chipsets. In my opinion it would be nice to move "Memory Clock" plus both "MaxxMem" and "MaxxMem Read Bandwidth" to the Motherboard benchmarks. Sure - the RAM clock and performance mostly depends on the chipset used, but the actuall implementation - MB layout and BIOS affects them also. As for the IMC-equipped platforms - it is a little more difficult here... both motherboard (BIOS options, VRM, PCB layout) and CPU (IMC capab…

Hi, I am having problems with my competition points. It says that I have 3 points for participating in HWBOT County Cup SP32m and 14 competition points for Gigabyte Good Bye 2014 SP32M stage, and they are missing the points for the other two rounds of Gigabyte Good Bye 2014 competiton (1 of each stage), and on my points for the ranking they are only 4 points. Also my competition points arent classified into "Points gained for your rank in official competitions." and "Points gained by participating in official competitions." like everyone competition points. If some mod can help me I would be very grateful

Hi all, I'm looking for some ideas for a problem I've been trying to address for a while now. A lot of mainstream performance enthusiasts say that they're not interested in joining hwbot because none of the systems they see at the bot are actual PCs. Not just because of the liquid nitrogen, but also because they are in open test beds and not inside a case. The right analogy here would be to make the comparison between racing prototypes and street-legal production cars. It could be an interesting project to see if we can develop a competitive area for so-called "street legal" production desktop PCs. I've been thinking about this for a while, but I can't find a …

There is a very small bug where on the forum if you click on the name of the person who last posted on the main page of the forum under the "HWBOT Frontpage News section" and the "General Hardware Discussion" area, it will take you to the page of someone completely different. Doesn't seem to happen anywhere else. Just found it funny when I clicked on C.Ney and got BlackPhenix instead Also K404 is replaced by ivano.bevilacqua.1 apparently

So basically as title suggests, the ranking system is broke for me and when I click to see the OC leader board I get an error. The same happens when I try to check the top OC'ers in my country. Error message: org.apache.torque.NoRowsException: Failed to select a row.

Hi to everyone. First of all, I must apologize for my bad English. I'm from Portugal, and I'm more or less new here. I would like to suggest that Maxxmem2 should be quoted for HWBot points. This is an amazing 2D Benchmark, since it doesn't depends only on how much can you give with CPU and RAM, but also lots of RAM tweak and also OS tweaking. One of the problems that anyone who knows how the benchmark works are the latency bugs. Of course there are lots of people who posts their results with bug, some thinking that it's normal, and others just for cheating. The point is, if this is a quoted benchmark, then all the users who run this will always pay extreme…
