Hello, Currently I have this computer: Gigabyte Z77x-UP5-TH 2600K RipjapsX G.Skill 2133 MHz Gigabyte GTX 480 SOC Antec HCP 1200 W After installing a Nvidia drivers, gave me a blue screen in Windows 7. Yesterday started making a 3D Mark and I went to dinner, when I return, I was with the screen of the bios post and had restarted the PC. From there, errors like "d0" etc ... I consulted on google but I clarified for my mobo, you can help me? The BIOS is wearing the F11. I have the F12a ready to flash when I can. I changed the graphics to an ATI 5870 and follows the "d0", I put the monitor on the integrated and follows the "d0". A little he…

  3. 2012 is very important for PC market. There are more and more mobile devices coming. Especially smart phones and tablet PCs. It really impacts traditional PC and NB markets. This change does benefit the users which you can see the change in MB market. More brands start to enhance their service terms and conditions. GIGABYTE also launched their 4 years warranty in Taiwan. For mid to high end Intel Z77 platform, the price drops from former 170UD to 120USD. High end Z77 price is around 10~15% lower than previous chipset. Except the MB enthusiasts market, the price drop is good for general users. GIGABYTE high end MB has 2 product lines. One is Gaming series, Z7…

Anyone else having BSOD issues trying to Vista up and running with Z77 ? I'm using a retail image, of which I've tried several. Usually make it to installing Video drivers and then it goes to hell quickly. Prior to that, routine stuff "stops responding" installers fail ect; Just seems very unstable from the start.

All from Costa Rica, Test #1: Boot 5GHz 4c/4t windows with 1.3v then lower voltage under windows. Seems Costa Ricas isn't that good so far for CPU Core low voltage. Test #2: Boot stock voltage (vccsa 0.925 and vccio 1.05v) with 2933 multi. So far we have quite a lot of 1520+ MHz IMC. 1520 MHz is the limit on air for the kit we are using. Anybody interested by 3770K cpus with 1520+MHz IMCs ?

Hey guys... Was curious to see what you guys are doing to bin your IB chips... It's obviously not as simple as SB was... I'm sure it's the old "more than one way to skin a cat" thing as well... But I'd like to see how you guys are doing it. -David

Hi, I spent 2 days messing around with 3x 580 GTX but no way to enable Tri-Way Sli in the drivers... CPU: 3770K Board: Asus Maximus V Formula RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws OS: Win 7 64bit, 32bit, Vista 32 bit Driver: 285, 295, 301 DAWHQ(F)LUCK Just show me some board with space enough that is working - I'm on it ^^ Wanna sandwich my 580 ref between matrix...so 3 slots for 1st card, 2 for snd, and 3rd card don't give a damn... Btw: Manual of the Formula only mentions SLI-config but 3-Way CFX...strange EDIT: List of Z77 mainboard with undocumented feature of 3x SLI by HyperSli Asus Maximus V Formula ASRock Z77 Fatality Pro

Nope had it enabled and even disabled it still doesn't post further then 15, then shuts down if manual timings set ( in reference to what the bios reads out from the XMP profile ) Dimms post fine at 2666 with 11-13-13-35 2T TRFC 147 on Gene V and Sabretooth... no idea what's up with this board... up to 2400 all is okay, from 2600 divider hell breaks loose. EDIT Messed with the timings, started to compare the read outs via MemTweakit. Adjusted manually setting by setting till we got a post. tRRD, tRSSR and tWWSR are the trick ! Issue 1: board bios badly reads out the timings set by user or XMP (see RED) Issue 2: culprit to post at high speeds…

Just "tried" to bench my new ud5 for the first time and it was kind of a nightmare. Hopefully someone can help. Did all of the usual things and everything was going fine. Thought I found a cbb @ -90 which I was kind of bummed about but whatever. After a while I realized that it was not cbb because I pulled the temp all the way down and started full pot benching no problem and the system would restart fine as long as I hit reset and did not freeze. I soon realized that anytime the system fails I need to reset bios in order to pass post again. If I hit the reset button than it will boot right up but if I bsod in windows then it wont boot again. Same thing every time seems …

Hi, I have 2 identical 3218B chips in terms of core clocks. Both validate around 6.9, run 1M at 6850 range, 3DMark 03/05 at 6.6+ range (6.5 with 1.74V pretty stable). However there are 2 differences: 1. The second chip works no matter if I restart, shutdown completely or change any values in bios such as active cores and bclk. First one have CBB issues (00 code) when changing active cores from bios and sometimes after a hard crash, so I need to heat up to -135 in order to save the settings when bios recovers. Otherwise they are identical for core clocks. 2. Thought the second chip would be better and save me some LN2 with lack of CBB, so I can always…

*sigh* I couldn't even run PCI-E 2.0 when the CPU was past maybe -70...had to use 1.1...which was GREAT for efficiency Has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone noticed/ does anyone know if the problems are worse with multi-GPU/ PCI-E load?? I'm seeing more and more places where a good Sandy would give me better scores. The efficiency would be on another (better) planet

Hey guys, i7-3770K ASUS M5G - 1204 BIOS 4 GB PCS Memory and so on. Never had a Problem with this setup, but now we reinstalled Windows XP SP3 and we did not get the Turbo-Mode working. BIOS Shows all things correct, Windows 7 shows all correct. But XP runs just with 1600 MHz never mind if load or not. And no it is not a 'monitoring' problem because performance suxx too. Did anyone has a fast hint for us? €: Ok, it was a CPU trouble, dirty pin made our CPU throttle.

  18. Intel has just launched the Ivy Bridge platform, and the price seems to be positioned in middle to high range of the desktop market. The high-end Z77 Ivy Bridge chipset has also become the main objective for performance among all of the motherboard brand competitors. While in recent years ECS has mainly focused on the OEM business, in the last few years, the company has been more active in launching its own brand of motherboard products. ECS has launched four new products based on the ATX Z77, together with about four products based on the H77. Currently, the ECS product line has a wider range of selections for the Ivy Bridge platform than before. High-end…

  19. Alright, seeing more and more people report having boards stuck at 16x CPU ratio. I, myself, have had two boards with this issue: - Z77A-GD65: still stuck at x16 - Z77X-UD3H: after night of drying out back to functioning normally I've heard reports of people having this issue with the Gene V too, so it doesn't seem to be a specific brand issue. What happens? Well, essentially, your board gets stuck in 16x CPU ratio and will not allow any other multipliers to be set. With the GD65 I'm stuck at 16x whenever I'm increasing the CPU Vcore, but the board works perfectly normal without overclocking. With the UD3H I got totally stuck at 16x, but after a nigh…

  20. Hey all, After the SF3D OC Gathering Vol.X binning event, I quickly tested the 20 Core i 7 3770K chips I brought over for IMC overclocking capability on air cooling. Test system: - Core i7 3770K (obviously) - Simple air cooler with 1 fan - GIGABYTE Z77X-UP5 TH - GSKILL TridentX DDR3-2666C11 There are four states: - "ok" means the CPU can boot up with that memory frequency - "66" means the CPU cannot boot up with that memory frequency - "51" means the memory was not capable of that frequency (like "55" on M5G) - "/" means untested setting Of the 20 tested CPUs ... ... 20 passed DDR3-2400 test ... 19 passed DDR3-2600 test ... 18 passed D…

  21. Hi boys, I have this new configuration and I have some problems with the stability of the ram GEIL ULTRA PLUS PC312800 1600MHZ CL 7-7-7-24 2X2GB KIT. The ram are certificated to run on MVG and I know that have POWERCHIP as the GEIL BLACK DRAGON. With Ivy Bridge I saw test at 2133 MHZ CL 7-10-7-27 1T @ 1.6125V and at 2240 MHZ CAS 8. How can I setting the RAM in to the bios ? There are too many parameters to setting. Thanks

  22. In the last two years, DeskTop market has changed. OC market becomes smaller. The main reason is mainstream CPU can afford most application requirements. Also, only high end CPU and chipset structure can do more OC. If you would like to have higher frequency or save video converting time, OC is still a good way. Besides OC and performance, the other key selling point of high end PC is Gaming market. You may hear about eSport. PC still has more advantage in high performance 3D field. This review is Ivy Bridge most high end platform. It owns high performance OC and Gaming specs. CPU is LGA 1155 3rd Gen. Intel Core i7-3770K K series is unlocked. There are only two…

  23. I see many people testing a shitload of CPUs, but so very little binning data is being shared in the forums. To me, it's a bit funny that someone who can test over 100 samples in a very methodological way would not share the information with the rest of the community ... but I guess that's how things go nowadays. Anyway ... So, alright, a second thread with results from the SF3D OC Gathering binning event. Why? Well, it's a different type of OC test and the sample size is a little higher. Also, the testing methodology was a bit less accurate than the IMC test, so ... well these are two different tests. So, as you should already know by now, we had 50 retail 37…

As title. Taking it nice and easy on multiple chips at 2C/2T. Couldn't get much over 5.9GHz. I have a known good chip and still....5.9GHz boot. I got mad and tried 4C/4T.... and BOOM! straight in at 6.1GHz. WTF??
