making this thread for future posters btw you can remove microcode from Z590 bioses with MMTool same as you can with Z490 not sure if it only affects Comet Lake or not Here's F5a for the Tachyon with microcode removed, I'd like for someone here to try with vs without on a Comet Lake and a Rocket Lake chip in Geek 3 and Cine R20. Hello everyone, I don't know if other user also noticed this problem, but before I decide to write a thread here, I did some testing especially at Gear2 which I feel need more tuning from Gigabyte BIOS Team. Btw I have no issue at Gear1, Gear1 on Z590 Tachyon is flawless both on Single-Rank and Dual-Rank, even managed to get +100Mhz uncore compared to the others board I have. Long story short, I have 2 others boards here (Z590 OC Formula & Maximus XIII Apex). I ran a benchmark through xtu 2.0 for the first time and i dont really know what exactly happened or why it ran this fast. I never overclocked it and I don't have any sort of fancy cooler or anything, so if someone would maybe explain what happened I would appreciate that. Also, I don't know if intel xtu 2.0 keeps logs of all benchmarks, but if it does if someone could let me know because I would like to upload this score. I didn't know how to upload it at the time.

EVGA was kind enough to provide an updated BIOS with the memory PPD menu option and VMax Stress menu options exposed. Both enhance performance. Disabling PPD (Power Down) improves memory latency. @tps3443has found his Z590 Dark Cinebench scores have improved and the system is more responsive with VMax Stress disabled. If you find this beneficial, please email EVGA Support and ask them to make these menu options standard on all BIOS updates. I don't understand why they haven't already done this. OS is optimized for Rocket Lake mainly. You'll want to use InSpectre for previous Intel gens. For Cascade Lake-X/Coffee Lake-R/Comet Lake-S you will want to use a bios with modified/removed microcode for all benchmarks. For Comet Lake-S specifically, there is a patch that will need to be ran at logon of any user with Task Scheduler for the use of no-ucode bioses, see the XII Apex thread for more details. Hey all, I have a question regarding a very specific variable overclock that I am trying to achieve. I’m running an i9 11900K on an Asus Maximus XIII Hero. So In short I was wondering if the following was possible to configure via the BIOS. I would like to hard set all cores to 5.1ghz so that the cpu speed never ever dips below 5.1ghz. However, I would like the cpu to boost 3 cores as high as 5.4ghz and the remaining 5 cores as high as 5.3ghz. At the same time I would like to have an AVX offset so that under heavy AVX load the cpu will clock all cores at 4.8ghz.
