  1. hi guys. i have this kit g.skill kit F3-2400C9D-8GTXD 4x4gb 9-11-11-31-2N 1.65v and i want to try some extreme cooling with a peltier. will be possible to achieve 2400mhz cl8 or cl7 with this kit with temps (if achievable) around -20/-30°C ? i know that the imc plays a big role, but still curious, probably will try to cool the cpu with a peltier too because it's a low tdp cpu 65w,when overclocked won't go over 90/100w. also what power consumption this ram kit can have with let's say 1.7/1.75v?this info will help me to choose the peltier. thanks

Hey all, Since Bull is playing with other boards right now I figured I'd share my journey with this board. I received it yesterday and just got a few minutes to tweak before I had to call it a night. Using BIOS F5 (newest), there are still a few things to iron out. Issues (possibly user error, still new to the board): RTL and IOL 55 every time I touch them, even if I set them to the same values it had set automatically. EDIT: I've been told this may be due to setting just RTL and leaving IOL on auto. Will verify this evening if setting them both manually fixes the issue. tCWL was unbootable at 9, which many others are running at much higher frequencies tW…

  3. Hi, I have a 3x2Go F3-12800CL6T-6GBTD with "640" elpida chip, I managed to overclock it to 2400 7-10-7-20 1T 1.85V (air cooled) in dual channel with my 3770k (not so roxxor, 5G for ~1.45V) on my P8Z77-V, I can't tighten the timing more than that, I can't push it to 2500 with BCLK overclock (CPU at 4GHz), 2600 won't boot at all. With the same CPU but an other motherboard (MSI Z77A-G45), I managed to push an other kit (2x4Go 1600C9) to 2840 C12. Do you think my CPU or even my motherboard are limiting me to push more that kit? Should I upgrade to Maximus V gene, formula or extreme, which is better? Thanks for all

  4. Hey guys! I have g.skill ripjaws v 3600 cl16. currently booted up with: 3600mhz, CL 14-14-14-34 1.4v DDR (1.392v in windows). VCCIO 1.18V VCCSA 1.19V I'd like to get it stable, but i don't understand well all these "trc" "Twcl" and such, please some help here's an image: By the way, for 24/7 safe use.

I gave these Corsair's Dom GT 2000c8 v7.1 psc kits which successfully passes 2600 8-12-8 spi 1m and 2570 8-12-8 32m at 1.82v on FX 8350 and ASUS 970 Aura. With the g3258 and MVII even the 2400 with 8-12-8 gives 00 and reboot loops . I have tried +0.1-0.3v sa and for io 0.1-0.3 (both digital and analog). I enabled additional DRAM Training option too. VTTDR is set half of dram voltage (1.7-1.85) . I disabled MRC fast boot option too. Is this epicly bad imc or board (the CPU is a x6 vn batch)😢

Hi all,is that time again new platform and lots more cold memory action ahah Had this platform for little over 2 weeks,so it's still all new to me,I did finally run some cold memory's for the first time yesterday. Will continue to post many more results as I learn this new platform, will also try to post from different ics,AU is little limited on the new memory's atm The new Z170 OCF once again was really nice to use,Nick has done a great job on the board and bios once again Hynix 3736Mhz 11-15-15-28 46-48 rtls 4-4 iols

Hey, I did a boat load of research trying to figure out how to OC memory and apparently everyone loves Samsung B die. I guess Samsung E die is supposedly tier 2? Does anyone know how good the Chinese eBay Samsung B die stuff overclocks? Sample link: Samsung 16GB 2x8GB DDR4 2133Mhz PC4-17000 288pin Desktop Memory Non-ECC RAM 1Rx8 | eBay Also, is there somewhere with more information on what dies RAM are? I can only find super basic info. It seems that cheap Hynix kits at 3200Mhz are usually 16-18-18-38, and Samsung kits are usually around ~$160-170, and have a separate set of timings? It seems that the most common kits of B die are the Corsair Vengeance…

Hiya Folks! Been going through a lot of older ddr3 and, much to my chagrin, quite a few are dead-ish. They throw 10 or 26 errors (on a z97ocf) or send the board in to constant looping. Is there any way to possibly revive them? Someone here said to remove the heatsinks, soak them for a couple hours in isopropyl alcohol then bake them in the oven for about a 1/2 hour at 50C. Does that sound right? Is the temperature correct (don't think my oven allows setting such a low temp)? Is it even possible that this could work? Anyone here successfully brought the dead back to life? Appreciate any tips, guidance, etc. Figure I'll try a crappy, disposable stick or 2 …

  13. Hi I found a cheap E die kit that seems to do nice (not top notch). It is a kit from Samsung as a manufacturer with E die on it. I found it here on page 7: http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/global/file/product/DDR4_Product_guide_May15.pdf When I looked for the chip codes I found that these are on some 3866MHz and 4GHz sets (1 from G.Skill). The kit is rated as 2133MHz with E die. After some tests I found that it is possible to boot (to Win 7) at 4GHz with 1,45v. These sticks go by €20 a piece. So in my book this is a bargain... Just to share this with you. Note: Since my OCF has some issues I won't be able to…

  17. Hello everyone, I made this thread in order to share my experience regarding the ultimate DDR4 kit for overclockers made by Galax. As many, I bought the HOF card ($430 + $160 customs) + the OC Lab mems ($350) in order to participate on the GOC competition, hoping to qualify for the finals. In order to do some testing, I got a friend's Galax OC Lab kit that did 4000~ 12-11-11 with wazza @2v. At this point, I thought it would be ideal to order my own even tho my friend wouldn't participate (eventually he sold his kit to another participant). When I received the new kit from Galax, I tested the same profile on the same cpu & mobo, as I did on the previo…

  18. Hi guys, i really need your help... Actually my config is: I7 5960x Gold 4.5ghz@with 1.1v cpu vcore only with H100i. Asus X99M-WS with the new bios 3005. PSU Corsair AX1200i. Guys, my friend provided me with some old SDRAMs (for the over 256MB attempt on i430TX chipset - Asus TXP4-X) and two of them are these rams: I did not managed two machines I tested these in (Asus TXP4-X, MSI K7TM Pro) to post with them, I could and probably will test others SDRAM-capable mobos (JetWay V266B, PCchips M810LR), but the chance are IMHO minimal. IMHO these are ECC rams. Anyone seen that rams? It is mainly the double-stacking that get me interesed, because I never seen anything like that yet. They stack like HBM rams, lol So, there it is for your enjoyment and maybe someone could identify these...? Don_Dan, Strunkenbold, Jazzman or o…

Anyone have any experience with this kit? Have it at 13-14-14-34-1T@1.42v. I'd like 2666mhz @ C13 or C12. Just curious if anyone has any tips from experience. What kind of voltage is safe for 24/7 use on air? I see people mentioning 1.65 and up, seems like a lot to me. Thanks!

Now that we're well into Autumn over here in NSW Australia I decided it was time to tighten the living s##t out of my memory modules (CMK16GX4M4B3000C15). After 2 days of tweaking/testing I reached the following timings: And here are the benchmark results: After updating the mobo's BIOS to the latest revision, the PC couldn't complete POST. I Added 10mV to RAM; POST now completes, but there are errors during test 7 of memtest. Changed tRFC from 300 to 304; errors don't occur until test 13. Changed tRC from 8 to 9; no errors after 4 passes. Subtracted 10mV from RAM; no errors after 4 passes. Played with a few timings and managed to reduce tWTR from 4 to 3. …

  23. Hello, I would like to find again timing table website or pdf for G.skill F3-2133C10-8GXM. My motherboard should support XMP but ranges go over capabilities of my motherboard so spend 3 hours searching internet for complete timing but now I cannot find it anymore. My only clue for that website or pdf is this picture which I took with my phone to apply settings in bios with trial and error: The problematic part was tRFC, my bios has limit for it 255 (8 bit integer).

Right now I'm running my dominator GT v7.1 sticks at 1.92v (bios set voltage) on air. Is this too much, or can they handle high voltages very well? I don't want to damage them.
