About time for one of these again. Lucky I still have my board around. Questions, Temperature rules, is the 30deg rule for Load or Idle temp? Can you please clarify. If it's a Idle, my current ambient is quite low (around 10°c), so need to be certain. Ram - I have a set of Zadak 3200C16 ram. Will this be allowed for use? Far from anything special. I think the admin should change "XTU" to "CPU % OC" as mentioned in the overview. Another rule i think should be applyed under the "CPU % OC" is that the CPU can't be under 30 degrees celsius, just to make everything fair between Aircooling and watercooling. - Kimax

Hey guys, I've been worried with this kinda from the moment I joined HWBOT and fell in love with benching. Please, don't get me wrong, this is NOT one of those "I can't win, nerf this and that" complains. I just don't understand why apprentice and futher leagues cannot compete in ambient competitions with ambient cooling methods. I would like to share some of my thoughts. I have started benching on watercooling, I have invested alot of money, time and effort with ambient cooling and even when I made THE step and I have started with liquid nitrogen, I'm using ambient methods also and I am not alone. I like the fact that AMD is mentioned in the rules under "Hardware" and the only way to participate in Stage 1 is to use XTU. AMD is not compatible with XTU and that makes this competition an Intel only. There should be a way to use the validation in CPU-Z for submission to Stage 1. Hey guys, I was asked by some people to detail as to why there is a fee in the Wild Card contest as there is quite an uproar about it. I understand why some people could be upset about the fee. When discussing the World Championship with the rest of the staff, it was clear that it would be good to host an online qualifier. Then, the Championship wouldn't be limited to people who can attend World Tour events. Our problem is that this could get very expensive in flights and blow a hole in our budgets. Just curious to know who regulates participants on how they are placed into the different leagues. Because this is a novice league and there are some pictures of people with rigs and setups that seem to be way more advanced than what you would typically see someone who is a "novice" of their sport or trade

Why only after 21/08 cinebench submission?

This scoring system is looking worse and worse the more I look at it. A 6700k running at STOCK speeds is beating out my 6600k that is at 4.9GHz. The fact that they are ignoring hyper threading and dividing scores by the amount of physical cores is screwing over some processors. I understand it is hard to factor in hyper threading, but if you are willing to add a system to even the playing field than it should actually even the playing field rather than send every 6700k to the top scores without them even trying. Im pretty sure all but one or two 6700k processors are in the top 15, with the entire top 10 being 6700k processors. That is just messed up, and it needs to chang…

i don't know the why, but my y-cruncher always have a problem when i try to benchmark, the most of the times the error is "gerneric exception " "error code:1" and "error code:2"

How can I submit a score from XTU for stage 1 when it's an AMD competition and platform? I just get platform not supported when I try to install XTU...
