too lazy to upload screenshots from myself or others at the moment Set tXP to 4. Set PPD to 0. Decreases latency a whole lot. I got a new best no-waza sp32m run with just tXP 4.

Hello all, I'm trying to see how much i can overclock this ram kit i have which to be honest it probably didnt have much potential from the start since it is a 3200C16 - 32GB. Dram calculator(only used it to check bin quality - not using its output for setting the timings) shows a 81% bin quality so im not sure if i am to take this with a grain of salt.I just think this is one of the low end b-dies. However, in order to see if i can hit 3600, i set docp to manual, set all timings to auto and put 1.45v on dram and soc at 1.15v. That would result in no boot. However, changing main timings to 22-22-22-25 and at 1.46v it booted but then crashed at …

Hy guys, i have a big problem with my DDR4 RAM and i don't know what to do anymore .... XD My System: Intel 5820K, Asus Rampage V Extrem 3.1, GTX 1080 TI FE Gainward, M2 SSD aaaand G.Skil Triden Z F4-3200C16Q-32GTZB (4x8), ROG Thor 850W Platinum My Problem: My old MB got bricked and i didnt want to buy a whole system - so i decided to buy a used Rampage V Extreme. 1 Problem: My RAM are not at the QVL (i thought its ok just for trying) - it ended in some bootfails 2 Problem: i switched to BIOS/DRAM-timing section and i cant see some entries at the Channel A/B - just at Channel C/D. Back in Win10 i started CPUZ with the Result: 24…

Hello, I recently wanted to finally properly test my 2000c7 Hypers and decided to try run them on my trusted R3E with W3680. But one of the sticks refused posting - first thought was obviously shelf death or transport damage. With cleaned contacts exact same issue. Swapped to R3F with different CPU - still unchanged. Moved to x58a-oc - suddenly stick works perfectly fine. Compared SPD with the stick thats working correctly, no differences. Just for fun decided to dig out the DOA stick of 1866c7 I got in a recent purchase - and off course, runs 32M as as it should on its own as well as with other sticks, even at >1000mhz 6-7-5-20. Tried both sticks - on thei…

As the price and rarity of hypers increases I wanted to see if I could find an ic that could at least match average hypers. The first ic I tried was psc on cascade phase change. The stick is my worst stick of psc but the only one that I can mount to my phase unit currently. This run was done at 1.76V and the stick scaled negatively above that. If I use ln2 trcd might be able to be lowered to 6 and with my rex it may be able to do cl5. I will be doing 32m testing when I get my heat spreaders from bartx and will test against hypers to see if the cold psc comes anywhere close. Notes: Thermal paste was hy 510 and mounting was not very good due to not having p…

I recently got some new H-Die ddr4 memory chip from samsung this seems very promising. Like earlier Samsung 8Gb die it is very voltage tolerant and like over 2.1v, unlike earlier die it is ok with high VTTDDR voltage up around 1V. This is higher then Samsung B-Die and E-Die and D-Die which like around 0.85 - 0.95V in my experience. This memory chip like cold temperature and scale to around -110C, more cold allow for more temperature scale and less tRCD timing. tRP go below tRCD on viable platforms which allows for much better performance in less consistency workload. After a while of toying, on A2 G.Skill PCB I was viable to get to 5.2GT/s 12-13-13-28 2T. With a bett…

So I'm very new to memory OC, and I've been trying to get some PSC to work for me. I've made 100+ 32m runs with this pair of sticks over a couple of weeks on air, testing the effect of each timing I tweak and OS tweaks. I have tried up to 2.05v once to see how high vDIMM they will take, but all the rest has been 1.92 or a little lower, min for stability. Vcore 1.31 / 50x Vcache 1.42 / 50x Vin 1.72 VSA .05 VIOA +.16 VIOD -.08 I have 10 sticks of PSC, the lowest volts for the binning profile was 1.83 for 2 of a triple kit of 2000c9 ripjaws, those are what I'm using. (My one living stick of patriot 2400c9 took 1.89v) I started from my…

Hey, I want to get into the subzero RAM game so I took a look at some of the best results. I've put together a summary below, please let me know of any improvements or additions as I haven't benched any of this myself and am just relying on info in people's submissions. I hope it will be a helpful for any newbies starting out. No code has to be inserted here. I would like to add other columns like max. volts the particular IC scales to and CB temperature but that I would need more input from people who have actually benched this stuff and remember the particulars. Happy Benching!

Hello, is there a very big difference between the Trident Z Royal 4800 vs 4600 C18 kits? There seems to be a shortage of the 4800 and I haven't found any stock for a few weeks now (Canada). I want to pair with a Gene XI and 9900KS CPU once it's released. My aim is to get 4600C16 1T with tight secondary and tertiary timings for 24/7 daily use. What kind of VRam, VCCIO and VCCSA should I be expecting to achieve those speeds and timings under ambient watercooling of the CPU? Thanks!

Introduction It’s been a while since Skylake launched and a whole new world opened for DDR4 tweaking . People posted various results and general guidelines are set however the most important things are still hidden for all world to see. Some people might forget that getting some results it is sometimes only a matter of having a decent methodology and enough time at disposal and not being a genious, so this has to change as hidding subtimings and proclaiming the next Messiah on overclocking world will bring nothing but more people leaving and enjoy other hobbies more exciting compared to ours. Ranting being spit off I will try to uncover and help some of you…

it's been awhile, there are records out there since ryzen 3000 launch I think it's not hard to figure out there are mis readings of ryzen 3000's memory speed up to 5.1GHz which barely there is no single one software can particularly report it right people choose not to say or take advantage from it, used for marketing or competition, some may presented for companies last week I take a chance to check out those weird results, and double check with some softwares and oscilloscope, and found out those softwares are truly broken and fail to report the right frequencies as you can see from attached pitcures, all software except ryzen master …

Hi all, I just came across a B1 stepping for Samsung B die memory. Is this the latest revision? Link to specs It seems to be running fine altough it hates 1T for now. I didn’t OC ddr4 and the leatest and greatest for 2 years now. Maybe I just mist this revision. Dimms are from Aug 2019. Quick PI 32M check at 3466MHz C15 at 1.35v. Oh and these are DS. Edit: don’t mind the 7700k speed, that is low speed for this one (safe setting, in a case now).

I just got a DFI NF4 ULTRA D and a few kits of tccd off ebay and am about to get 6 kits of Bh5 from various members on the forums. I am wondering if any one here is willing to share their experience of what timing and frequency is considered a very good kit and what is decent kit for both Bh5 and tccd memory ic's. Any and all help is welcome and appreciated.

Hey guys, Couple months ago a bought this very nice board,it really is the board that has dominated a lot of the X99 WR lately on HWBOT.The very short time Ive had this board has been a real pleasure to use,in the short testing Ive done on memory results im really happy with how the board performs, very user friendly bios and clocks memory great. As a lot of you know I only really have been clocking cold PSC but after a few test on some mfr ddr3 and now ddr4 it really is no different to any memory benching, its all just about learning and improve at what ever we do Will continue to post more results soon from hopefully a few different memory manufacturers Here is a ol…

In recent months consumers have seen Samsung based DDR4 prices steadily increasing and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. However, I am happy to report to you today that there is hope. In the overclocking world, Samsung B-Die based memory modules have become ubiquitous with tight timings and high frequency. The market demand has grown exponentially for B-Die memory because of its many advantages, but the downside to this is the constantly increasing prices. Teamgroup Inc. decided to meet the demand of this market by launching their Dark Pro line of memory which appears to be a budget conscious memory module based around highly overclockab…

Hi there. Are there AM4 RAM clockers who are willing to share max memory clock achieved on this mobo ? some days ago 1.0.0.6 agesa bios came out ( again ? ) and I managed to get 3733 c14 aida64 memory benchmark " stable " on air with a random 2700x and gskill bdie. but above that nothing even boots. 3800 or 3866 no go. is that the limit of this board or just cpu ? 3733 was fairly easy with 1.18 soc and 53.3 procODT with 0.8 dram vref but I struggle to go into windows above this. with an r7 1700 cpu it was 3667 c14 maximum so we could say I should try to find a better chip. Or is this the air limit of the ryzen imc Or this is the li…

https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16820232736 Has anything tried running these in extreme conditions? This variant seems to have potential, as it's able to boot 4500 cl19 at 1.45v. Certainly not b-die, but Hynix tends to scale with cold very well. It's also very inexpensive. http://oc.jagatreview.com/2018/07/hands-on-overclocking-review-g-skill-sniperx-ddr4-3600cl19-16gb-kit-2x-8gb/2/

I'm looking for a good resource for taking memory cold. Primarily ddr2 and ddr3. I know there's this thread and it has some really great info on how timings behave and general scaling for ddr3, but there seems to be less info out there that I can find for ddr2. Also I'm looking for info regarding cb's and cbb's on memory. Does anyone have any good resources that they'd recommend for all this?
